Most requests we hear for a Quran cover start with the same short list: it needs to close securely so pages don't get bent in a bag, it needs to be sized correctly for the specific Mushaf (dimensions vary more than people expect between publishers and print sizes), and it should avoid figurative imagery on the cover itself — geometric patterns, calligraphy, or a simple, unadorned finish are the common preferences, rather than pictorial designs.

Why Fit Matters More Than It Does for Other Books

A Quran cover that's slightly too big lets the book shift and the corners wear faster. Slightly too small, and the cover strains at the spine every time it's opened. Because Mushaf editions range widely in size — pocket editions, standard reading copies, large-print copies for older readers — getting exact measurements before cutting the leather matters more here than it would for a generic notebook cover.
